Some of us live simple lives...our needs are few, a good Breton or two, or three, sometimes four or more, the odd piece of cherishable silver, a courteous covey of quail, the non-too-merest whim of an amicable port or malt, a pile of good books will more than suffice; but alas, a development of gross transgression at the local butcher shop perpends my gastronomy...NO MORE BLACK PUDDING!!!
My butcher, a most attractive subject not long from the Old Country, with biceps to make Schwarzenegger gasp, apologised profusely at this unthinkable development. Even the greatest endeavours of we few Black Puddiners cannot staunch the financial inadequancies now associated with this most distinguished of delectations.
Woe is I, things are grim; only two fingers depth remaining of the Glenmorgangie...oh well, chin up...the Breton are still here. _________________ "...amitie, respect mutuel et amour..."

Well, the malt has gone...so I shall punish myself for over indulgence by sanding down all the window sills (there's only six in my little cottage) (I could have saved one drink of it)...and hopefully, on account of us having a sunny day here for once, might get them painted as well.
Can you believe it is November already...where did the rest of 2009 go?!!!
Only eight more weeks until Christmas...yikes!!! _________________ "...amitie, respect mutuel et amour..."

Yes, in my experience they do...my sadly departed sow Fanny, a ginormous Duroc and Brit got along very well...I do not know if it is a genetic weakness in the bloodlines in this country alone, but the feet can 'go' in the Duroc when they grow as mature pigs...
