Although field trialling and dog training sometimes drives you to drink AA refers to All Age.
Field Trials have three 'stakes' Novice open to all dogs, All Age open again to all dogs but in reality restricted to better performing dogs and also a stake that allows a breed club to apply restrictions to the entry - for example to their own breed should they wish. Open is open to all dogs of all HPR breeds and unless a trial is severely short of entries it will only be dogs that have won 'novice' or 'AA' that will get a run - in other words the standard is higher.
If a dog wins 'novice' it cannot compete in novice again. _________________ Guy, Ellie, Topaz, Catja and in memory Barley

Assuming you mean the one held on Monday in North Wales I apologise for not recording the results, John A will be able to provide them though, as he was judging. The ground was superb, perhaps not ideally suited to Brittanys at this time of the year with the depth of cover afforded by the bracken in several places. The event was well attended, though not competed in, by Brittany club members. Had it been a novice trial and had Dave A not been one of the guns things may have been different. Maybe next time? _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
