Sad I know... Got another of those plasticy cups that Jessie desperately wanted with Baileys in France Along with that little piece of red paper saying CAC and CACIB. Only she wanted to do was to beat the French again!
And all I wanted was a real critique of my bitch from a specialist like Riva.
The cherry on the cake: I have a booking for a puppy from...France!

Pull [n or v] An equal and opposite force perpetrated on both ends of a lead that results in the inevitable tripping and falling of the human involved!!
Great stuff, Baileys - you're the clever girl not your Mum! _________________ Annie

All I can say is that we are having fun there. We do get some comments and funny looks as we come from the UK to show a French dog. But a lot of interest in her lines too!
Next, we'll have to do the working bit but we need some trials at the right time of year when Alan can actually go, so it must not clash with necessary ...work on the farm
The group is nothing like the UK. It is over very quickly. No individual dogs are moved or gone over. They run round the ring as they go in...and that's it! They pull the ones they want from the 7th group-which is quite large- and the others are out.
Baileys got short listed and she had to move once more across. Then ONE dog gets chosen. This time a Pointer. with a nice CONVERGENT nose.
Secondly, again in the group, barely a look and a fat Bracco was pulled out.
Several groups were done one after the other. The Slovakian Wolf- a real wolf look alike ,the Corgi, the Bracco etc...then battled it out.
The daschunds ahve a group of their own. The Slovakian Wolf was second, the Whippet first.
Unlike the UK, they call the winners from third to first!
But then, we all know the French and the British do everything the other way round!
The stands were disapppointing, very expensive, the food halls the only ones of interest. Though I have a Patriotic item for Baileys to go to the shows here. A French flag vet bed!!!

Bet they could sell those over here too!
