What a nice day we had, decent weather and plenty of chat with some very good training.

I took both Mugi and Chase, plan was to let Mugi do the game retrieving and Chase do the water.

Moo had a ball with his retrieves and also the one he nicked from Suki when she was reluctant and he legged it to help Embarassed  Laughing . Some of the dogs were less sure than others but I think everyone made progress.

Water later in the day and I was thrilled with Chase. He has been a bit iffy with water retrieving........he is a very good swimmer but he needs to feel confident about the entry so something we need to overcome if he is to compete in the future. My first 'attempt' to get him in was a tennis ball and he was totally not interested so in went a partridge with a young Brittany in hot pursuit, he swam strongly, collected his bird and turned tidily to bring the bird to me, yes he did drop it in front of me but after problems with him hurtling past I am happy to have him just bring a retrieve directly to my feet.

Some pics from the cold game, sadly none from the water as I can't handle an excited Chase and a camera!!

Back from another enjoyable weekend at Catthorpe.  Good to see so many forum members there.  Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

Thanks to everyone who generously donated prizes for the tombola, and to those  who bought tickets.

Unfortunately I was too busy fleecing people of their hard earned cash Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil to get involved in the activities on Saturday but I was glad to hear that Moss proved that his water retrieves on Friday were not a fluke by repeating them, with Hayley handling him on the Saturday.
