What a scare I had this morning! You know the speed these brats run at, and no brakes either - well I think Freckles ran into a tree in the back garden.  Just one short squeak and she came rolling and tumbling/half walking/half crawling at great speed out of the trees right into my leg.  She had no control over her legs and was obviously worried but seemed to know where she was as she obeyed my command to stay while I put Belle back in her kennel.  Then she tried a few times to get up and was running around with her legs splaying under her.  I saw a wee cut/graze above her eye - not big enough to need stitching, so checked with Ian my vet about concussion.  He said to just keep an eye on her and bring her over if I was at all worried.  Ten minutes later she was running around almost normally, rushed into her kennel and started eating her breakfast  I've taken them both into the conservatory for the day to watch her, but so far she seems almost back to normal.  What a worry!

These Brittanys are not for the faint-hearted.  Rolling Eyes Do hope she is OK.
Soufee sends her a hug.

Difficult to tell which one it was - there are over 150 trees all round the garden, most of them are 40 foot high Leylandii with a 2 foot high canopy designed to hide the railway line and the by-pass.  But I will check if you think the tree preservation society might come after me.

Perhaps I should look though, as it seems the tree may have come off worse since Freckles seems to be fine now.  It was bliddy scary though I can tell you!

Well she ain't been sick and she didn't even have a nap in the conservatory with the rest of us - she just sat and watched them bliddy pigeons.  I blame Jan's Ghillie for this - she taught them about pigeons when she visited two weeks after we moved in here.
