I've just found a pet ear thermometer on e-bay which seems to me that it might cause far less distress and be cleaner than a rectal thermometer. I just wondered if anyone had any experience of these?
Can't understand why you want a pet thermometer. Aren't two Brittanys and a Lab enough pets for anyone? _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
If you had two - would that make them a 'thermocouple' ? _________________ Guy, Ellie, Topaz, Catja and in memory Barley

My GP son-in-law uses a digital ear thermometer all the time - it's fast, reliable, easy to read, beeps when at maximum temperature, and causes no stress to the patient as it doesn't need to be inserted very far. I bought it for his last birthday - and yes, I know it's work related and not a normal birthday present but the practice wouldn't pay for it and he adores gadgets. _________________ Annie

Can't you tell by the volume of sound from your whistle? Mine gets louder and louder and louder - then I know I need to stop or I'll burst a blood vessel! _________________ Annie
