Prompted by a comment on another thread I got to wondering not so much what the club 'does' but more what would not be there if it didn't exist.

Understanding the breed seminars
lectures on specific topics - eg bobtails

judging 'hands on' seminars
KC rules and regs seminars

2 novice field trials
1 all age field trial

Makes you wonder just how those on the committee have time to organize all that with very little help from the members Twisted Evil And, in a few cases, not a lot of help from some members of the committee.

That's quite a selection!  Not everyone takes advantage of them all.   I take part in, run or help run, or access these; I can't do the others due to distance.

Maybe if the committee were a bit more open with the membership and invited them to become involved in organising activities we would have more help and an even longer list to peruse.  True, many may not want to be involved, but the opportunity should IMHO be offered.
