It is a very interesting site.  Seems to originate from the Netherlands.  Have found the first Brittany I ever met, the first one I owned and the second one too.  No record of the third, yet  Exclamation

Do we do that with our own club database?

No names and addresses were given - only dog's names and they are in public domain

Please remember the data is a year old and until Sylvia can get the BRS she cannot update it - so please be patient.  If anyone has any alterations to give her please email her direct rather than reporting each indiviual item on here - her own website address is http://www.mysticalshadows.nl/ . email info@mysticalshadoes.nl

Note what it says on the main page of the database - To keep a little control over the brittany's in the database only moderators and admins of the website are allowed to enter information into the database.

I love the idea of an international EB database for non LOF dogs or even better including LOF dogs.  However my concern is around data protection and copyright of the information.   Just because it is in 'the public domain' does not necessarily mean it can be copied and used by anyone.

I thought our database was based on the KC one using, KC issued updates.  If this is so who holds copyright to the info because someone surely will, and if it is not the BCGB then I hope whoever owns it gave the OK for it to be used by a third party.   If it is the BCGB then I believe it will be OK - so long as there is a committee minute to that effect.
