This is an area that fascinates me and I am really hoping to learn more.

Having got my Brit from a working home, I too would like to learn a bit more
about hunting with birds. Is there anywhere I could find out where I could watch dogs hunting with hawks or falcons

The Club receives the Falconry magazine every quarter for an advert we place.  I have given them to John Anderson in the past as FT Secretary and Falconer Rep, but I can easily give them to Club members instead to pass around.

You could also ask John if he has any at the moment. Let me know if anyone wants one.  The Internet is a good source of info too.  The Independednt Bird Register is the Falconry bible - they have a website too.

Hi Eddie,

You can also try some of the falconry forums.. 2 I would recommend are

http://falconryquestions.co.uk and http://falconryforum.co.uk/

The first one is more UK based falconers, many I have met and some of which have britbags.. The later of the 2 is international and again some use brits in their work.

The good thing about a falconer, is most will let you go out with them to watch/get involved.. Give them a try and see what happens Wink

Happy new year

Tim & Bailey
