Today Brice has been a stooge dog for 2 first yr students at the McTimoney College in Abingdon...... he was very patient having two history taking sessions, two gait assessments and two full exams - in addition to the examiner doing a baseline examination of his spine!
An interesting two hours, slightly spooky as the McTimoney Practioner Freddy and Brice saw a few years back was an examiner.
Upshot - not unsurprising, is Brice has a couple of areas that are misaligned and he could do with treatment, he isn't having it yet though as he is booked to the college in Aug for a final year exam that includes a treatment and obviously it makes sense to not have him partway through a treatment session at that time. When he has been seen in August I will ring his chiropracter and book him in to sort him out.
Now for the difficult bit! Freddy was also booked in to the August session ..... do I substitute Chase? The sessions are 45 mins and he will have to be a good boy as importantly someones final career may depend on him behaving well. With the different gait and a possibly hyper dog what to do????
I am erring on booking him to see Paula the chiropracter anyway for an assessment and then see what she feels after she has met him .
Not sure if any/many of you use canine chiropracters but certainly with Freddy and prior to that Cressy I found it really helped those times a dog was 'flat' or intermittently lame. Some insurance policies cover a course of treatment anyway although I self funded the guys as it was not for a medical diagnosis - just to keep them fit. _________________ Sue, Chase and the non-Brittany boys - Brice & Piper. No Des, she just has more than us because she isn't daft enough to have another human to spend it on _________________ Jan

You sound to me like somebody who has too much money to spend.
Spending nowt though Des as volunteers get it free - and I combine the day out with a meet up with friends who live locally . The dogs I did use it on both had spinal problems and it was a fair bit cheaper than conventional treatments! _________________ Sue, Chase and the non-Brittany boys - Brice & Piper.
