Is there to be a Brittany Stand at the Midland game fair in September? _________________ If a job's worth doing, it's worth paying somebody else to do it properly
Eddie, I have had an invitation to man a Brittany stand in the Discover Dogs Pavilion at the Midland Game Fair as has John Hodkinson. It is the same weekend as Hereford Show which has put Brittany classes on this year so I would like to support them. John & I spoke about Discover Dogs at National Gundog but I can't remember whether he is going. If he is I am sure he would be pleased to have any support on offer.
As Barbara said I've had an invitation but they are a lot meaner with their ticket allocation than other fairs. 1 car park pass (that admits two people). I'm doing one day, with Hayley to help as I'll be taking two dogs (and would like to get to have a walk about at some point). I've offered the other day to Keith Taylor, as he asked about it months ago.
Maybe you can get Barbara's tickets if she isn't goin to use them? _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
Eddie might still get away with replying to the invitation sent to you. Thoguh i know the closing date has passed. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

Good idea John, would you like me to send it to you Eddie?
Just send it Barbara - worth a try. I've missed all our Scottish game fairs this year for one reason or another. Don't think there's any left to go. _________________ Annie

Main difference being that there were probably more Brittanys at the Midland
Keith and Jane had a really busy time of it on the Saturday and had to fit in two visits into the parade ring. No time for shopping so they had to come back on the Sunday. It was quieter on the Sunday and the parade was cancelled, due to the ring being used for a major scurry event, but we still had a constant flow of peole asking about the breed.
Across the two days we saw a few nice dogs but a lot more poor examples of the breed, some so small that they were difficult to recognise as Brittanys.
It was quite surprising the number of people who recognised the breed from living, working or holidaying in France, though their comments on the way dogs were treated over there were disturbing. Though I'm sure any other nation would have no difficulty in identifying ill treatment of dogs over here as well.
