I have just added some events to the Club site calendar.
We have dates for a Gundog Working Test at Hamptworth (New Forest) on May 25th 2009. It would be fabulous to see Brittanys running but please also consider offering your services to help run the event - an ideal way to learn what is needed if you wish to compete in the future .
We are also looking for Volunteers (ideally we need people who work their dogs) to help man the breed stand at the CLA Game Fair (Belvoir Castle, Lincs) July 24th, 25th and 26th. If you can spare some time you will also receive a pass into the show and the more people we can drum up the more time you have for shopping while there. Please either contact myself or John Anderson (details on club site on committee members page).
Two Field Trials for next season are already lined up........
A Novice Field Trial at Hamptworth (New Forest) on Oct 19th 2009 and an Open Field Trial at Inholmes (Nr Hungerford, Berks) on Jan 7th 2010.
Also, if people are unsure of how to move into working their dogs please shout out. I for one am new to working my dogs and the club has really helped and supported me. If you want help to know where to start (as a total novice) I am happy to chat and try to help (as I know many other club and committee members are). _________________ Sue, Chase and the non-Brittany boys - Brice & Piper. Thanks fro putting these events on the calendar, Sue. I had a long chat with John a couple of nights ago and he said you'd have details soon. Sorry I can't come down to help but any paperwork needed just let me know.

Did anyone ever visit the grounds that I suggested in Wales as a potential training/trialling/working test venue? _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
No idea - you need to ask John A about that if it was him you advised about the grounds _________________ Annie

I asked John about the land but he didn't know what land you were referring to John. Please can you e-mail him the details. He doesn't read the forum so would not know about it if it was on here.
I've emailed John though I have spoken to him about this in the past and I had an exchange of emails or pms with Sue about it as well. I appreciate that they have both been very busy and that it's easy for things to slip past. However, i feel that the memebers of the BCGB deserve to have the opportunity to support the working side of it without the need to travel to extreme ends of the country to do so. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
I emailed them John to ask about facilities and if we could visit to reccee ............. and never had a response. _________________ Sue, Chase and the non-Brittany boys - Brice & Piper. Pets first and foremost.
