Prompted by a post on another forum I had a go at rewriting the Brittany standard.
General Description: The Brittany is the smallest of the pointing dogs and originates from Northern France; imported into this country in the late 80's in an attempt to bring French chic to the English countryside, it must be said French cheek is closer to the mark. The Brittany as a breed has made every effort to make as many friends as possible in the shortest possible time, this by its particular skill of always trying to be in the next county whenever out for a walk.
Head/eyes : Bright almond shaped eyes and intelligent expression mask a devious mind.
Ears : High set to enhance the look of interest and intelligence are in most cases purely decorative in nature. It might be considered a Brittany suffers general hearing problems within the range of human speech; but this in not strictly true as a Brittany can hear the crackle of a cellophane wrapper at 100metres in a force nine gale.
Mouth: The Brittany has dry lips – this limits the number of feathers that stick to the gums. A Brittany can thus provide a complete service to the game shooter enabling it to present an almost oven ready bird.
Nose : Very keen sense of smell. Capable of indicating where something has been and therefore where the Brittany should investigate further. This sense becomes more enhanced the closer the end of a walk becomes.
Body: Well built and muscular, despite its size very few Brittanys ever tire out.
Hindquarters: Well rounded rump - Bum like a cook they say– who mentioned food? Well that is not much of an incentive to a Brittany when hunting is on the menu.
Feet: Feet like a cat or a hare – depending which end you look. These help a Brittany be that combination of lithe and fast.
Tail : What tail? New versions now sport a tail, which because of its action takes away some of the 'surprise' for the owner over what the dog is about to do next
Gait/Movement : The 'galop' is a peculiar gait of the Brittany that allows extended periods of travel to be undertaken. The 'gallop' is what you get when two Brittanys 'galop' together. When the 'gallop' is over the condition is known as 'lost'
Coat : Self cleaning. Dirt drops away in an manner inverse to the colour of the surroundings and in an amount directly related to the value of the surface the dog is sat on
Size : Small enough for several to sit on your lap at once.
Males: Males should have two normal testicles fully descended and these in a healthy dog should be displayed regularly by lying on the ground with all paws in the air.
Females : Should have a cheeky expression and a penchant for expensive shoes – which can make good eating..
Faults : Only having one in the house at a time _________________ Guy, Ellie, Topaz, Catja and in memory Barley

Just sorting out some photo's and found this.
Is it ok or do you think it's a little overexposed? _________________ If a job's worth doing, it's worth paying somebody else to do it properly
