I would love to say I hunt it, kill it, cook it and eat it but in reality I dont. To bag a rabbit with the hawk is sport and the brit is simply a way of finding it. Most things we catch is frozen down, a rabbit will feed my hawk for 4 or 5 days and to see him hunt above a decent dog is something i will never bore of. Cleo the (spoilt) brit is 3 and a half now and just coming into her own...not as steady as my old gsp who we lost a year ago but she's getting there.
Love the occasional gamebird but cant remark on Hare...I hear they're very rich and bloody.
ps we're having Tesco indian takeaway for tea Smile

Rabbit is lovely roasted or made into a casserole with veggies [only use the back end as it is meater], If you have a hare again use the back end and do it with some chicken to take the strong taste of the hare away. Very Happy
