Ben has just practically dragged himself over to the couch, rested his head on it and rolled his eyes to look at me. But when I ignored him, he still didn't try to get up. I timed it and he stood there for about 5 minutes just resting his head. A head is a heavy burden sometimes. Now, after having a little cuddle and contemplating whether he had the energy to eat (which he decided he didn't, despite encouragement from myself and Moss) he's having a sleep. He's trying to be himself, following me to the bottom of the stairs, but he just stood there and waited at the bottom for me to come back down. He's not wasting any of the seemingly little energy that he has.

The poor boy screamed when Moss snuck up from behind and headbutted him when I wasn't looking. (Now Moss is sulking that he has no one to play with).

The house has never been so quiet, it's unnatural!

Sorry to hear Ben is not himself Hayley, he seemed fine at Le Weekend.  What does the vet say?

I'll get Hayley to post something tonight, once we've been back to the vet with him.  I've just had him out for a run and thoguh he's still not himself he did cover more ground than he has been doing, the ears are working their way back up and the tail is starting to wag again.

Any news on Chrissie, Barbara?

Well £300 poorer and the vet tells me he doesn't know what the problem is, other than that the blood tests showed a high white cell count and along with the high temperature (which is now back to normal) it indicates an infection of some kind.  The good news is that he's responding well to treatment is is now almost back to being a real pain.

He went into the consulting room looking like there was no improvement at all.  As soon as the vet said I could take him off the table his ears came up and the tail started wagging and he almost ran to the door andsat to wait for his lead to be put on.

He's just been out for a run with Moss and has appeared with half a rabbit in his mouth (nice retrieve to hand)
