Watch their rear movement - you can see every rear pad!

They could all do with having their bums trimmed.....all that hair flapping around. I think the carrots were dog toys but..... Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes

I think it is a pity that the Americam type Brittany and the French Brittany are both called Brittany. I have seen them in the flesh so to speak in the US and OZ and I would not have one as I feel the Brits we have over here and a nicer type of dog for me but I do respect there breeders as they are beautifully presented in the ring and very very sound.
I know for a fact that the breeders in Oz want to get back to the French type of Brittany. When they introduced the Brittany to Austraila many years ago they imported 6 from France and all had bad hips so they decided to import from America who all had good hips. That is why they exibit the AM type.

Never mind about their" bums" trimmed, shame about all that shaving and over trimmed look. I don't care for it very much to look at. They also don't seem to have " roans" but "clears".
Hind angulation is different to the Breton, more rear angulation making them move with drive. Not clipped gait. I have seen the videos of Westminster before.
Very well handled and same "type".  For Australia, I think  Bill Allen mentionned the Cornouaille kennel at the very beginning. Some UK Brittanys went over to Australia several years ago. Bill is the person to speak to on lines over there...

I agree, Bill is quite an expert on pedigrees.

Joymonds Vagabond (Imp UK), De Winds Iwan (Imp NDL), Itou Des Margottins (Imp Fr) and Itron de Cornouaille (Imp Fr) were imported by Jack Thompson...there were also imports of American Brittanys around that time.   I understand that the last importation in Australia of an EB was in the mid 1980's who and by whom I do not know.

Yes, I agree, but if the bum hair had been shortened to match the rest of the coat it would look better.
I always thought that those Americans could handle really well but some of those dogs were weaving all over the place. If you forget that they are supposed to have the same breed some of the dogs looked very smart.
