Please meet Charley my little houseguest Laughing . She is an 18 mth old bitch who will be here for a hopefully short time (certainly not beyond the new year) while her Mum has some health related changes to make. Chase and I drove down the south coast on Monday to meet her and see how things would go - typical male was so funny while they were out hunting the fields together ........... he was strutting his stuff and showing how slow weims are compared to brittanys Cool Laughing .

On the drive home she slept on top of Chase's fabric crate, how she managed I really don't know but she did Rolling Eyes , we were late home and her first move was to commandeer Chase's crate so there she will sleep and Chase has the largest fabric one (I do have another 42" but tbh I don't want to take up the space downstairs if I can help it).

Yesterday saw formal introductions to Brice and Piper and they all love her (in a platonic way). She is a wind up merchant and poor Chase in particular is being bugged for non-stop play, if he can't be bothered then she pesters Brice as Piper literaaly walks away.

She is eating well, recall is good although I will probably only take her and Chase to well secured areas in case they encourage deafness in each other. So for the meantime she will walk with Brice and Chase will stay one to one as this is not going to interfere with his training .............. I HOPE! But she does need some general manners, my tall baby gate is no obstacle, chairs seem to be just another bit of raised flooring and sit is of absolutely no duration.

On a serious note though I am really pleased with how well the boys love her and unless she is absolutely bugging them they will settle in their normal places while she is pottering about.

BTW her daddy is a working weim and he has won a FT in Holland and is related to my late weim. While she is here I am going to share some of Chase's training opportunities and see what she can do.

Faces only mum's can love Laughing

I lurve you Charley

Brice hopes for peace

But trouble seems to follow Wink

A single grey thing is ok

But finding peace is loverly Wink

Chase is loving having such a lively playmate and it certainly tests his control on static exercises such as sit and down .... he isn't doing too bad! Brice and Piper also love her but prefer to leave entertainment to the youngest family member!
