Thought it may be useful to gauge forum members attitudes toward online entries. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
I much prefer using online, most shows I enter through fossedata or higham press (also one other site which I forget the name of). I get immediate confirmation that my entry is accepted, I know when the money has cleared my account etc and I don't rely on getting to a PO to get proof of posting. _________________ Sue, Chase and the non-Brittany boys - Brice & Piper. I prefer online, no need to find a stamp, envelope, cheque book, pen.
I do wonder how many more entries we might get. _________________ Guy, Ellie, Topaz, Catja and in memory Barley

I did include "Not sure, and it shouldn't be discussed" as an option but it didn't appear in the list for some reason. Hope it hasn't spoiled the vote for anyone. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
100% of the entries I've made so far have been online
Seriously. I can't think of a reason not to. Its just so convenient and if you use the services of Higham Press/ Dog-biz you get a warning of the impending closing date for entries via e-mail. Don't know if this is true for Fosse Data
Online entries would be great, especially if a reminder of closing date is e-mailed Only just managed to get my entry for the champ show in the post by 1st and made a frantic call to Margaret re' "Le Weekend" booking

When we went to Ireland I made all of our entries to shows there on-line. It saved time, I got confirmation which I could use as proof of entry if the paperwork didn't arrive before we left and I didn't have to worry about sending payment in the wrong currency, as the conversion to euros was done for me. All in all a lot easier for me and I should think for the organisers as well. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
I prefer online as at least that way you get immediate confirmation that the entry has gone in, and you don't have to worry about things going astray in the post.
My only small worry is what would the cost be to the club - presumably the printers make some sort of an admin charge.
Also I would like to see the schedules downloadable either through the printer's or the club's website. _________________ Liz and the Brats

These are the sort of questions I'd expect people to want to ask before a final decision is taken. Maybe Kathy could provide a cost benefit analysis for us. We may actually find that the benefits outweigh the costs. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
Just to clarify - there is no charge made to the Club by Fosse Data to have online entry and the schedule would also be put on our website free of charge (and also a pdf copy could be provided to put on the Club's website too.) The only charge which the Club would have to pay is the the Credit Card transaction fee/ e-commerce fee which the Bank levies and this is currently 3.315% of entries received.
We also send out reminder emails to let exhibitors know when the entries closing date is looming.
