A critical factor in this process is training the attention to orient selectively towards the flow of events with the purpose of detecting and appraising the significance of prediction error occurring in the context of purposeful behavioural projects and ventures, and appropriately adjusting behavioural output to accord with a preference for surprise (positive prediction error) and an aversion for disappointment (negative prediction error).

Its all to do with th tension on the reverse acting return spring of the diagonal steam trap.
Don't you mean 'the reverse reacting return' If the tension is in direct inverse to the return adverse that would mean the dog or owner returning before it/he/she had in fact gone anywhere and that could get a bit confusing _________________ Jan
