A little brag about my old lady - SKC

Not often you get such a detailed write up as this so I just felt I had to share it with you after the trauma of Freckles tree hugging episode last week.  At one point the thought went through my head that she was going to keel over and die.  I owe it to her to let you see this.  If only there had been tickets she might have had her crown!

O (3) Best class. 1 Massie’s Aberdon Sgurr Mhairi, o/w bitch, typical & feminine, carrying her 8 years with ease. A little soft in muscular condition but still shows her true outline & carriage. Well made skull, stop & muzzle, keen dark expressive eye, neat well set ears, correct head carriage, good neck & forehand, legs & feet, big ribs, strong back, compact loin & couplings on which she scored, broad first thigh, well made second thigh, correct stifles & hocks, moved well both coming & going maintaining her cobby outline in profile, moved with purpose in group competition. Congratulation Freckles.  Maybe it was having a big head that caused her to run into the tree. Laughing  Laughing

Congratulations! Your girl sounds like she richly deserved her win. I've noticed that Brit's do tend to age well. There are some over here winning Best In Group at 8 & 9 years old, when many other breeds are well into retirement.

I think the only real problem is that the orange ones tend to go grey quicker but because she has a fairly white face with brown spots all over (hence her name  Wink ) it doesn't show on Freckles.  A number of our orange and white Champions are showing their age now.
