Advice - eye testingHi everyone
Being new to this breed I just wondered if there has ever been any eye health problems in Brittany's. I have the opportunity soon if I want to, to have Jez eye tested and wondered what people's thoughts are about eye testing Brittany's.
Currently I hip score all my dogs as a matter of course.

In my 25 years in this breed I have never eye tested. I know some people do it, but neither have I heard of any eye problems. I believe I have heard of cataracts - but only in old age.
If you intend breeding and you aren't familiar with his lines by all means take your vet's advice and have them done. I have no idea of the cost these days. £25 seems to ring bells as a show offer. Sorry can't be more informative.
