All action Puppy

Hi Guys,

Have just found this bit of video of Merlin when he was a puppy.

He was so crazy out walking, climbing 200ft cliffs and running back down and jumping ten feet drops, that the vet suggested I try him at the hydrotherapy centre, as swimming would be safer for his growing joints. He went mad in the pool then came home and spent an hour tearing up my lawn and flower beds, Breton's eh, who'd have em?

No that was panic - I did not like that at all!!!!!!!!! Sorry if I offend anyone but I would have taken that little lad out after the first sign of fear - he was terrified.

No offense taken

I love and protect my dog 100%, so no offense is taken.

This was his first swim in his life and it lasted for the length of the film. The pool facility is a professional get-up run by a dog lover and was recommended by our vet.

Looking at it again I "can" see what you mean.

For me I see the crazy animal that I shared my life with for a year. He did everything in the fashion you see in the pool, full pelt, "crazed", and high energy.

Swimming is is favourite pastime and luckily his has a 10 x 5 Metre pool to enjoy all through the summer, no life jacket and harness, a much nicer affair I confess.

Hope you understand, I am not a cruel monster, just an owner trying to do the best for her Breton - ALWAYS.

I didn't at any time think you were a cruel monster.  I could see it was a supposedly professional extablishment, and ordinary dog owners are expected to be able to trust experts in their own field.  If I was the owner or even an employee of that hydro pool I would have taken that dog out after 5 seconds.  Personally I would inform your vet and tell him to watch this video.  It could have put Merlin off swimming for life.  I am very glad that he now enjoys your own pool - I wish I could have that luxury!
One of the things I have always wanted to do is swim with my dogs. Rolling Eyes   If I can I will build a pool in my next home, I had hoped to do it here when building the house but the cash just wasn't there. Crying or Very sad

Happy Christmas to you and your family and to Merlin - hope to see a video of him in your own pool sometime  Laughing

Pool Video

Merlin this summer

It is great fun swimming with the dog, especially when they do swim sensibly beside you like you will see Merlin do.

He loves to play ball in the pool, but he beats you to it everytime, he is just so competitive.

Hope you enjoy this video better Surprised)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Wow!  That is a fantastic video!!! Wish I'd seen that one first, you are very lucky to live somewhere with such lovely weather.  My pool would have to be indoors.
Merlin is having such great fun - and you too!!!
