Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a dog show in Melbourne has been cancelled for tomorrow due to a forecast temperature of 43C.
That snow sure does look cool!

Jan, all we have is...rain
The sea temperates things, we are only 10 miles from the coast...Jess is leaving Herts and is surprised to hear we have...no snow. So, no mad racing around by the Brits and no nice pics

You can have some of ours Patricia. I’ve just had a call from Lynda to tell me that Queensgate ( the shopping centre in P’boro ) is closing for the day. The most annoying thing is that I have friends who frequent the Newark Showground and have yet to see Remi. She says she wants to take a video of me handling Remi to send to “You’ve been framed”.
Looks like I won’t be going to the Newark show tomorrow

Last night in Devon, near where my daughter lives, they had a foot of snow and the whole county ground to a halt The two bridges over the river Severn have been closed because there are icicles dropping down onto the cars.......imagine the obituary;
Mr so and so sadly speared by an icicle as he was on his way to work. It was over very quickly and he did not suffer. Medics feared he had died from frost bite untill one of them narrowly missed being hit by a large lump of ice, it was only then that they realised there was a hole in the roof of the car and also in Mr so and so's head. The inquest recorded that he had died from water in the brain. RIP

And if a certain 'perfect' tricolour doesn't get of our bed where he is sitting looking out of the window watching the snow fall, he's going to get his bottom warmed up by my hand

Ohhhhhh. ....Janet
At least you are not coming back with a pack of muddy caked Brittanys who all need rinsing down as they have been galloping in waterlogged wheat fields The dirt from 6 disgusting dogs is not good..included a filthy Cirneco who is splattered chasing a hare down the drive
All now drying in the conservatory before curling up on the sofa with me.

You are joking Patricia.....we went up to the farm at the top of our road and they had a wonderful time. The snow it was a snowing and the wind it was a blowing. They ran and they rolled and they got absolutely soaked.......THEN that 'perfect' tricolour went and sat on my bed looking out the window watching the snow come down

Well done Merlin - we are all very proud of you ... we think that all good dogs deserve a double/king size bed, with lovely feather duvets and pillows... just ask lil git
Lovely photos Jan, handsome dog

The only problem with having a kingsize is that the 'git' can spread out on it.I normally leave the covers turned back for a couple of hours so it can air. He doesn't usually go on it when the duvet is pulled up unless I have a fleece blanket on top.

And of course, as my friend Pat (Hester's breeder)said to me when i complained about the muddy footprints on MY bed - why do you have cream bedding? Duh! had no answer
