I don't suppose it's anything to boast about really,but,i've been invited to go beating on a very large shoot nearby on a regular basis.First shoot for me is tomorrow and i have to say i'm pooping myself.Adrian (chap in charge) knows the standard that Tilly is at and is more than happy for us to attend and enjoy ourselves.I've been in hard training with Tilly for quite a while now and i just hope it all doesn't go pearshaped.My main intention though is to work my new pup,she's only fifteen weeks old and is already retrieving Pheasant wings to me brillianty.Only yesterday she went on point to three ducks that were completley hidden and it was a joy to watch.I can't wait to get her up to standard and have the time of our lives.

Weather was perfect,Tillly was sensational for two minuites untill excitment got the better of her,but on the whole she performed better than i had hoped for.Everyone was very friendly and aproachable.After the how do you do's,the very first comment was "Ere young'un wats thee Spannel crosswid?" .I don't actually mind explaning the breed,it only helps expose them for what they are,an all round fantastic dog.The general concensus was on her work rate,they were very impressed with her speed and keeness.After watching the various ESS and retrievers that were present,i am left in no doubt whatsoever that Tilly had the "keenest" nose there, and was the most willing to use it.All in all we had a fantastic day out and are looking forward to two weeks time for the next shoot.

Well done Andrew and Tilly! We have moved on from the fantastic pointing Tache did at the Budgies in Petcity at 4 months old,but are still along way from our first beating invitation!!! Jenny
