Mugi

Busy morningI have to brag about my boys - they have done so well this morning although the biggest achievement came from Freddy the WSS.
Chase has puppy class first where he did ish ok. He sits well, down is getting there, grooming was ok, biting was off curriculum but is done with style , heel work was terrible although he walked through the gate under really good control. He has a new best mate called Gandalf (deerhound pup) and a partner in crime called Joe (JRT). So his class on balance was ok. Best bit was a superb recall.
Mugi has next class and he is with dogs getting ready for their bronze award. He is way ahead on certain things and way behind on others. His sit-stay was great and would have passed his bronze despite moving dogs around him but he didn't want to lie down. Recall was fast, heel work was fab so I was pleased with him. He will be entered into his bronze test at the next opportunity and may try for his silver.
Finally it was Fred's hour. He is with the dogs heading for KCGC Gold award and he was way behind, we are really aiming for a silver. Today he has done 2 really good recalls, his send away/send to bed was really good, his heel work was ok but then we had a breakthrough .
For the first time ever Freddy managed a stay for three minutes with me out of sight for 15 secs and the rest of the time across the hall from him. He didn't falter once - I am so proud of him. When I first got him home I never expectected to get him to cope in village hall training but time, patience and confidence building has brought him such a long way. It may seem a small achievement but for Fred it is huge.
