Cats

Hate them with a passion when I have Freddy as he is sooooo sensitive and knows when one is in a hundred mile radius (perhaps a small exaggeration but........). So today the neighbours cat is hell bent on death as it is tormenting Fred all the time. Fred is trying to dig into next door but thankfully the rest of his brothers don't care. I am currently sat with the patio doors etc open as the evening is pleasant but Fred was driving me mad.

So picture Fred and Brice in a Down Stay in the living room, Chase was allowed to come and go as he pleased but he came in and lay down too. I am sat tapping on my Notepad and not sitting properly back in my armchair. Next thing I know is a cheeky black head is resting on my shoulder as he has sneaked up behind me without my noticing - he is happily reading what I type and I just don't seem to be able to tell him off.

I am so glad Chase seems happy to accept the local feline population, the dogs barking on the playing fields without needing to join in, and he no longer torments his brothers to play constantly.

But he is a bloomin cheeky git, even if he does understand the word off means get off the furniture this instant or know my displeasure Laughing  Laughing .

I have a cat that does that. Laughing  Laughing  He also stalks by the dogs with his tail straight up and they totally ignore him.  But my friend Marilyn, next door, was here for coffee this afternoon and said her dogs hate cats with a vengeance.  Rio apparently goes onto the railway line and stares at Rocky & Roxy knowing they can't get at him.  Just hope he watches out for the trains. One of next door's cats sits on their shed roof and waves his tail at the dogs - drives them bananas.   The other (cheekier) one comes down into the garden after the bord food and reckons he can get to the fence and climb out faster than the dogs can run after him - so far he's got that right.

Years ago there used to be a ginger tom the other side who used to sit on the fence and dangle his tail over the edge waving it at the weimaraners!   He survived to a good old age as well.    Not quite sure how many of his 9 lives he used up in the process, though!
Pippa's Pack

Mine hate cats!  A couple of years ago one very hot afternoon we were sitting in the caravan, Brian asleep and the dogs dozing.  Suddenly pandemonium!  Chloe and Pippa shot out of the caravan door howling like banshees, into the awning and out underneath the skirt.  I just managed to grab Soufee and stop her following.  I yelled to Brian for help and set off after them.  When I got outside, what a sight!  Both dogs were motionless, on point.  Sitting looking at them with distain written all over its face was a black cat.  A lady from a nearby caravan called out "Do not worry - he is used to dogs".  "Not Brittanys" I replied.  Praying he would not move I got hold of one dog and Brian got the other.  Sigh of relief.

Thank goodness he had not moved or I dread to think what might have happened.  We would probably have been banned from Caravan Club sites forever! Embarassed  Embarassed
