CruftsI would like to post a boast on behalf of Richard Welch who designed and set up the Brittany Discover Dogs stand - cracking job.

Did anyone take any pictures of the Discover Dogs stand?

Good question Annie. Loads and loads of people took photos but we didn't think of that today but will take some tomorrow.
Yes Guy, the stand was brilliant Richard has done a superb job
Copper, Jim and myself had a great day today and will be back tomorrow to do it all again

Well done Lin Jim and Copper, loads of people came over to where we were to see the dogs after seeing you at the discover dogs stand. A lot wanted to have a look at the ones with tails too. I think there was only 2, Cedar and her brother.
Again well done Lin and Jim and copper, you'll be exhausted tonight!

Here are a few showing the big picture at the back with Ghillie and Richard's Annie, taken last April up at the farm. Ghill is soaking wet having been frog hunting. There is a quail hidden in the brush. My stepson enlarged the picture and printed it out onto canvas.

Jan please don't take offence - but the pics don't unfortunately capture the atmosphere of the stand - a bit like a 'beaters room' with spare waterproofs, dummys hanging, etc.
A point for next year may be to put the breed name up on the back wall, as many people walked up and said what lovely dogs and then stepped back to read the sign over the stand.

Mugi, aka Mud Monster and I are looking forward to being on the stand tomorrow. He is currently back to stinky, muddy 'pup' and I have no intention of bathing him in the foreseeable future .
Chase and his non-Britt mates have a day planned of helping sort out my car which has a headlamp gone and I wrapped round a crash barrier the other week .

Thanks for posting your pics Jan. I took some today with Jim's camera but there were far too many people around to get a decent shot.
Today was very different to yesterday. Loads of people coming up saying how pretty and friendly they are, then asking what breed are they etc' etc'. Yesterday being gundog day more peeps were more aware of what the dogs are all about. Too tired to express it any better than that !
All three of us have had a wonderful time representing our very special breed and are more than happy to do it again.

Sue, I know this is very late in the day to be wishing you and Mugi a good day tomorrow, but have a cracker. Coppers story as a rescue/rehome had many people enthralled. What you and your boy have achieved is just amazing. Have fun and enjoy.
Best wishes, Lin.

I'm offended, I'm offended and will, at some point, get my own back on you It was a bit difficult to stand back and get more pictures as there were so many people walking in front gazing at the stand. Richard is taking his camera and will hopefully get some taken after the show closes in which case he will be able to stand on the other side of the aisle and get the whole thing in
By the way, if you have the video of gundog day can I borrow it, this will make up for you offending me
Chris, like Sue with Mugi, I missed the gamekeeper class as I was in the ring with Merlin and when Ghill and I got down to the other hall the class had almost finished. Never mind there is always next year

The Moo and I have had a great day if somewhat tiring . He has been hugged, kissed, cuddled and been so tolerant of all the attention. He had a number of 'breaks' when he was kept away from attention but he has truly loved his day. Going on the final day has meant we have come away with some good bargains too.
Chase just would not have managed such a frenetic pace and I am glad he stayed home to help mend the car, he has been to B&Q too and charmed the customers and pee'd in the Garden Centre . Good job my dogs all have a dispensation to enter a No Dog store .

Slightly of the topic .. well a lot really. Did anyone see the Beagle in Crufts? well it's one of Gunner's (aka Dialynne Private Ryan) lot! We were shouting and barking for him to win. He's related to Gunner too so it was great fun here!!!
Eastonites and Dialynnes doing really well!

With respect to the start of the thread I helped (or possibly hindered) Richard and Maggi dismantle the stand and have to say that I had no idea what a lot of work it took to produce such a great stand. The NEC stupidly allow a vehicle in to 'set-up' but not to 'take down' so Richard was trying to steer all the components of the stand (plus all the stuff we managed to 'acquire' for the club show in June) through the main halls.
Big pat on the back needed, probably a contribution to the cost of any surgery needed and a large glass of something strong .

I second that motion Sue. Three cheers for Richard
