Cut PawMy baby girl has cut her paw, she had two stitches put in today, she's not very happy at all!!!! Her walks can only be short. Anyone know how long it will take to heal? We've got to bring her back to the vets Saturday for a check up.
Poor baby is feeling very sorry for herself a fairy cake has cheered her up for a few minutes.

Give her Arnica Naomi, brilliant stuff, you can get pillules, cream and jell.
Should take a week to 10 days for it to heal over but you will need to be careful once the stitches are out that she doesn't start running on it on too hard a surface and make it open up again. Once they are out and it has healed over surgical spirit will harden the pad up if you put her foot in a little several times a day.

Thanks Jan,
The surgical spirits seems like a great idea. I'm hoping she'll be ok for crufts but will have to see nearer the time.
I have arnica for humans is it the same thing?

Naomi, sorry to hear about Cedar cutting her paw Hope it is sufficiently recovered for her to attend Crufts. Jans' advice sounds good, though I would add a different kind of spirit for yourself
Hope to see you all there next Friday.
Best wishes, Lin.

Arnica is for humans, animals and any other form of life....including men
Use the same amount, in the pillule form, as for humans...but do it quick as the sooner you get started the sooner it will work

I thought you only recommended arsenic when it was for men

I don't recommend anything for men....just in case it works
Did you hear about the daft woman who tried to poison her husband with antifreeze.....she should have used that jellyfish that is undetectable Amazing what you can learn from watching wildlife programmes

How did he not smell the anti-freeze? Well she has 30 years now to figure out where she went wrong!

Hi Lyn,
Thanks for asking, they took the bandgae of and are happy with the progress. She won't leave it alone so I had to put another bandage on and covered it with sock.
She has to go back to see them on Thursday but their optimistic of a recovery for crufts. She's a bit of a celeb at the vets now
She's a monkey, licking all the staff and cuddling up to them. They love her down there.
