Driving licence expiryForgive me if this is common knowledge but I was unaware of this until a friend mentioned it, and I suspect there are others ignorant of this.
Unlike the old paper only driving licences, the new photo card/ paper ones are only valid for ten years. As these licences were introduced in 1998 it is possible that some people have licences that are close to expiry or have expired already. Maybe it would be a good idea for those who are unaware of this and have had a new licence for some time, to check their expiry date.

Mine the old paper one (Falling apart now) but been washed a couple of time so its still clean!!!
But should last a life time
Was told the reason behind the photo licence only lasting ten years was that you get older and need your photo updating.
yeh just another way to charge the motorist for anything they can!!!

Over here, we paid a considerable sum for our paper licenses saying that they would be it...would see us through...but no!!!! so now have the plastic fantastics...what I want to know is where did all that money go and why did we have to pay more to get the new ones when the paper ones were allocated for your natural.....
