ErrrWhat is it about Brittanys????
I have just found myself conversing with and stroking Chase - WHILE HE WAS STOOD ON THE SOFA WITH HIS FRONT FEET ON THE ARM OF MY CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no way any of the others would get away with that but Mr Engaging seems to arrive and then I realise the liberties he is taking.
Moral is ................... Mum has to be tougher on the BRAT  .

The aspects of the Brittany psyche are fascinating...how can this utterly companiable dog be the methodical diligent hunter he is...how he can share the hearth, then the heath!! The sound of the key in the gun cabinet ignites him from a deep sleep...his shining eyes bring comfort in times of pain and hurt...I no longer try to analyse; I now simply embrace all his characters and repeatedly thank this little dog for all that he has brought to my life...

I love watching how he tries to manipulate the others too.
Piper just doesn't understand this manic thing that resides in the home, Fred would love to dominate but can never seem to quite get the message across and Brice, the hound actually seems the closest in tune - they are both devious loving characters that want to cause mischief.
This evening we had what I class as inappropriate play - would be fine outside but not in my living room so to stop it the three indoor dogs were told to lie down. I do this by name so Fred was first and he dropped where he stood. Chase next and he also dropped into a down immediately ................ finally Brice who being a hound always does things slower and in his own way. So Brice did drop to a down but ensured he and Chase were lying side by side. I swear they lay there plotting the next way they could turn me grey you could almost see the chat!!
