Expensive doglet?Chase's desire to retrieve is starting to re-engage and he will often find a stored dummy in the home and bring it to me for a reward ..... I oblige each and every time and am getting used to him lying on the rug with a 'find' waiting to be called in. Today heart in mouth I found him on the rug with £100 in tens in his gob - I had to be calm but bless he brought it to me and handed it over with it barely damp. Only trouble is he had got it from inside my purse without damaging the purse so I need to be a tad more careful .

Now why couldn't he do that to someone else's purse? Nice retrieve, Chase!

Watch your purses at 'Le Weekend'. Are you training him for something new - a dog pickpocket perhaps?

I hadn't thought about using him for crime .... he and Brice could make a formidable duo. Brice could love a victim to death and nick a wallet from a breast pocket even while Chase checked lower pockets or ran off with the booty.

At least Chase did better than my friends Weimaraner who ate £40. She managed to retrieve some from his mouth, but as the bank insisted they needed more of the notes than she'd got that way, she had to wait for the rest to come out the other end before she could get the money back
She took it to the bank carefully wrapped in clingfilm
