Mugi

First EveningSince we lost Mugi that I have 2 dogs asleep on the rug (Brice and Chase) and Fred asleep on the sofa. I think my canine household is starting to relax!

So was Mugi the antagonist? I can't believe that - perhaps the catalyst rather?

Mugi was the antagonist for sure Annie. Shocking as it would seem he even attacked Brice from nowhere when Brice was on lead and Mugi and Fred had been pottering around happily in a large group of friends dogs on Weston beach. For an old man Moo had definite ideas that Brice should not be allowed to live!!!!!!!!!
Sadly Mugi took a major dislike to Brice from pretty much day 1 and it wasn't ideal...... the only way I could manage it was total segregation and the fact the Brice has different needs to the gundogs. Mugi and Freddy could cope in the home together just but only if they both walked on eggshells round each other, out of the home they were fine together. So for peace in the home I had Fred and Brice as one 'unit' and Mugi and Chase as the other. Chase however could cross borders easily into the other group.
The only frictions I have at the moment are that Piper is going through the stage of recently castrated male smelling fab to the other boys and the fact Chase wants to play a bit more frequently than the older dogs but he soon remembers when Fred feels he needs to say something about pesky youngsters. If the wind changes Fred may be stuck with a permanently curled lip .
