Tache

Fox mange?Itchy pustular rash!Tache has been itching for months! To start with we saw fleas and treated them with front line and other flea stuff. Seemed to resolve for a while, however in the last 3 months she has developed red sore inflammed patches on her stomach and rump. Diagnosed by first vet as fox mange, treated with bath wash and broad spectrum antibotics. However now much worse (following baths!!!) now has pustular sores very inflammed and weeping, off food. I think this is an allergy, to fleas or prehaps food, second opinion by different vet agrees!!!!! So we are back to basics no christmas tit bits, bland hill diet, strong antibotics and different bath stuff, at the cost of£148!!! Any suggestions or advice gratefully accepted!!

Ellie, came to us with dry bald patches covered in scabs. These persisted for some months despite very generous donations to the vets beer fund. In the end we resolved it by removing gluten from her diet. Also added salmon oil a couple of days a week. Not seen it since. Flatulence and loose stool also disappeared. Coat now beautiful even after a season.

Rosemary infusion is fantastic for relieving rashs etc. Make a normal infusion by bringing a good handful of fresh rosemary to the boil in a pint of water; remove from the heat and allow to infuse until cool. Bathe affected part at least four times a day.
