mine arrived today and after a quick flick I can see there is a lot that would interest others - I wonder if we could between us all translate some of the articles?

Guy, I just read the tricolour article on the " funny tris" by Regis Toulet, judge.
I have thought of translating bits of it.Will check some of the rst of the magazine for interesting things.
One thing saddened me: The " great" dogs like Indy and Iska de St Lubin, Lurky des Sources Claires, and Laos du Bois des Vauchelles have all passed away Crying or Very sad

These dogs have left a huge legacy to the French stock, and passed on their above average qualities to their descendants. I had seen them all apart from Laos, and they were beautiful and of course " elite" studs.

Having seen Lurky children, so many looked like their sire and you could tell his stamp. That is what makes a "great" dog.
I am glad I have some of their blood in my dogs...Look back at many pedigrees now and you will see repeated, Crak, Varim,Lurky,etc etc...

I didn't know a magazine was due - I've not had it yet, and I haven't had the special one long. Gave a loan of that to Joanne and Joy, with some old magazines from a few years back. Translation would be good for me please, my French is rubbish Embarassed

I know Utique belongs to Jacques Morrier...He often reports on the field trial section and is always intersting to read on the French Forum. He also has Ubu du Bois Courcol( bred by Dominique Pozo) who was part of the team Marco Emmanuel took to Poland I think. Utique was slowly brought on but you only have to look at the results to see what she has achieved. It is Patrick's goal to produce at least 2 field trial chs a year. Informations supplémentaires : Utique a terminé 3ème à l'échelle des valeurs 2008, 1ère femelle. 7 classements en 14 présentations (n'a pas fait la totalité des concours) 4 CACT's, 2x1er Exc, 1 TB. Chienne de Chasse hyper viandarde avec rapport naturel. Elle est la Soeur d'UBAYE et USMAEL, Champions de travail également.

Utique is third on the scale of values, 1st female, 7 classifications in 14 runs.( she did not attend all those competitions) 4 CACT (trial awards), 2 1st excellent, 1 very good. Viandarde= keen to get to the game and look for it. with natural retrieve. She is the sister of Usmael and Ubaye, both also field trial champions.
