Just to say hi

I have been an unkown guest for a number of months now, and following the welcome I received around the ring at Crufts I felt it was time to jion and say thx for all the advice so freely given about the breed.

Current position :- I own a x breed which I use for agility and are currently loooking at the Brittany to replace a collie x spaniel x ?? that I lost about 2 years ago, so the advice I received at Crufts was very helpful and I hope to learn more over the coming months before making a purchase.

Welcome to the Forum, Peter. Sorry I wasn't at Crufts so didn't meet you and some other folk who have expressed an interest in our breed.

If anyone is thinking of having a Brittany they might like to consider a rescue dog - we have two on the website at the moment - there is also a great deal of information on our breed website

The two year old is just the right age to start in agility Peter...nab him quick Very Happy

Hi Peter, my lad is now one and will be starting agility soon - I just need to get some surgery on me out of the way first.

Once he starts I will post his progress - we will be enrolling at a class in Cheltenham so maybe you would be able to come across and see him in action before you get your dog? I have previously doen agility with my WSS although I am not the worlds best handler Wink

Hi Peter and welcome. I do agility with my 6 year old bitch (more for fun than in competition) though we did start quite late as she was 3 before I found the group I train with. I'm hoping to do some with our young pup but he's on 20 weeks just now! The Brits do very much their own thing, but I've found the training has really improved her concentrating on me.
