We (Barry and I) have had the pleasure of hosting Jan and Mike for several days during their intrepid journeys around the South Island of NZ.
From what we have heard, you will all be in for some great adventure stories soon!!
On 10 and 11 Feb, Jan and Mike also joined us at the South Otago Gundog Club championship field trials and were able to observe first hand, Spice and her litter brother Folly run in the Pointer & Setter championship.
It might be an idea for Jan to hire a hall and a large video screen so she can tell you all at the same time what happened and how it compares to your field events!!
We all had a ball while they were with us and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves like old friend would, even though we had just met!!
It just proves that the majority of Brittany owners around the world are passionate about the breed and have a streak of nutty humour that we all can relate to.
By the way, the result of the trial was as follows:
10 Feb 2007 South Otago Gundog Club Pointer & Setter Championship
Judge: Mr R.Giles (NZ)
Excuse me, WHAT nutty humour??
Love that Hamburger...
Don't encourage them to ask about the trip it's bad enough being told that I HAVE to do an article!

I will let you explain about the late "Hamburger" Jan - and I reckon its cool to have "Nutty" friends that think black water rafting is in a boat!!
How are your back-ends after the trip downriver in the black tube ? Are you sure you dont want to try bungee jumping??
Ghilliegumdrop
The black river was great, the hotel was a hoot, just like Fawlty towers, I told the manager what I thought of him after he told me off for having a drink!!
I thought that was what we were there for.

OK, so go on Jan, tell us what happened at the hotel??
