We're a bunch of mizzogs aren't we  . It took nigh on 9 hours for somebody to respond to John's New Year greeting (including me).
Hope you all achieve most of what you (realistically)wish for in the coming year, but don't forget that if things don't work out as you'd hoped, every day can be a new start.

My excuse is I have a flu-like cold, and it was my 65th birthday yesterday and I'm miserable 'cos Im staying in and going to my bed as soon as the bells have rung in what I hope will be a wonderful New Year for everyone including me. 
It's good to have friends like you lot that I can let off steam at

Oh Eddie, a tad harsh!!!! I have a good excuse; Tuesday night 3 hours sleep; work at 01hr00 Wednesday....too hot to keep fungiciding - got over 27 degreesC at 11hr30!!! ....nearly went to sleep driving home...starting early again tomorrow...yippee New Years Reserve Day so time and a half and a day in Lieu...still can't find it in the atlas!!!!

We were first at the woods this morning, it was minus 2 but I heard a woodpecker merrily drilling away - was he trying to say Happy New Year or does he think Spring is coming?
