welcomeHi Fergie
Welcome to the Forum. I hope you enjoy. It's not all about Brittanys as you will see if you read back. Some good old friendly banter too!
Are your other two dogs both males? If so and you decide you want a Brittany after being on here a while, you should think about which sex and also check out temperament. Brittanys are huge dogs in little shells so usually want to be top dog - you're other two may have a problem with that. Particularly the terrier as they have the same ideas int heir heads. You might also want to look at natural short tails if you are going to work in particularly heavy cover - rough woods, thorny patches etc. Brittanys are quite good at retrieving fish too
I hope we will all be able to help you decide.

but to be honest i dont thinck there will be a problem as we jusy got a kitten and the dogs adore it also the two ferrets but sadly my boxer is not long for this world hence the intrest

Hi Steve
Sorry to hear your Boxer's not well.
The Brittany is about knee height so might suit you. Guy has the right idea though - you should try to have a look at how some of these breeds work - Spring pointing tests are on just now all over the country. This test shows the HPR's natural abbility to hunt and point and be under fairly reasonable control. I can understand the lack of interest in Labs - nice steady dogs probably but not the character of the boxer, staffie or Brit We have a training day coming up in the Midlands on 2nd June. You're welcome to come and observe.

Hi Steve
As a newcomer to the Brittany I have to say I'm really glad to have found the breed (except when we are having one of our battles of wills, which both Moss nad I are determined to win). They are not the easiest breed I've worked with, but are worth the effort when they decide they have made you suffer enough and decide to do what you've known all along that they are capable of.
