Hmmmmm - tails

Not wanting to open any specific arguments but I have just 'found' my first Open Show stating "A DOG DOCKED ON OR AFTER MARCH 28TH 2007 MAY NOT BE ENTERED FOR EXHIBITION AT THIS SHOW" although as far as I can see they are not charging a public admission fee.

That's interesting - which show is it?  I wonder if their committee are confused - or maybve just not taking any chances in case they get it wrong - or maybe they are all to a man against docking altogether?
Strange.

I thought I would ring the sec to confirm Annie before I print which show it is although the statement on the front of the schedule seems clear enough.

Good idea - they might have got it wrong.  Interesting though.

How about a name and shame list then girls?

yeah why not lol ,
I had a moan at the kennel club about the docking and they said it wasnt up to them ? lol

Paul was going to compile a list of the Champ Shows that didn't allow docked dogs, but haven't heard from him yet.

Oxfordshire County & Thame Show is a prem show but doesnt allow docked dogs after the date , Not sure if they charge the public though

They do Ali, as do Bakewell who also don't allow docked dogs but that is in line with the fact the dog show is part of a wider show that charges.

I'm sure, if Bakewell wanted to, they could argue that the dog show is incidental to the Agricultural aspect and that , as people don't pay seperately to enter the dog show, they are exempt.

I just heard that Rob McMaster judged Bakewell and that our Jessica was best AVNSC with Baz - (Whalrim Voyou at Joaldy), AND that she managed to get Donald in teh ring WITH A COCKer!!!  he hasn't done that since he was in child handling classes - a LONG time ago.  Well done Jess (not for winning at Bakewell - for getting Donald in teh show ring!)
