Hot DogTis soooo funny.................
Chase is so warm and kind of not wanting to do much, but at the same time he is so keen to be playing.
He does about 30 secs of mad play and then collapses to rest for about 10 mins - then up again and the cycle begins!
Brice is sprawled on the rug watching with a real resigned expression and Piper got so fed up he asked to go into his kennel.
Earlier all the boys were annoyed they were left at home while I went out.
I reckon it may be a decent time to go for a walk in about an hour.....wonder if Chase will let me wait till then.

In my garden it has been 26 C today - not hot by my standards but it is hot when you consider it was 15 C in daytime last week!
Personally I consider hot some of the temperatures I found in my tent in the middle east - like 50+ C and I love hot weather. What I find difficult is the constant change that the UK tends to have - it means you are swapping from T-shirt to Fleece in a week and never acclimatise.

Mine haven't been for a run these last few days - by the time it's cool enough it's so dark I wouldn't see them, but with an acre of garden it's not so much of an imposition. Apart from an unscheduled and against the rules trip upstream they've had to make do with lead walking. Right now it's nearly midnight and it's 16 degrees. The house ambient temperature is 26 so I guess my new insulation is working - phew!

We're lucky as we can take the dogs down to the river where there is plenty of shade and they can have a swim. Ozzy and Sherry are in the water most days - Rosie is too much of a lady to get her feet wet

I know it's all relative but it was only a few weeks ago here it was over 40 C when I was getting home from work at about 6 PM and Annie would try to walk in my shadow on the way home from a walk/play. Sure was glad to see the end of our summer, mind you I was out on a bicycle ride Sunday morning and it was only 2 C, started to curse the onslaught of our rather mild winter but then thought things weren't that bad afterall.
Cheers,
Waldo
