Monet is on the Kc Activity Register uner the name Exigeant Monet - its a pretty basic certificate and i cannot see a transfer of declaration, also the dams breeder has put a restriction on this litter!! Out of interest what is a transfer of declaration? Sallie

The person who sold you this puppy would have known there was a breeding restriction on the dam and they shouldn't have bred her without getting it lifted first. Most breeders of Brittanys will put a breeding restriction on any bitch puppies but will lift the restriction once the bitch has had her hips scored and/or any other health checks done. Perhaps the person who bred Monet did not have his mom's health checks done. Either way they should have told you what the restriction meant and if you were not told you could go to the trading standards people and make a complaint, also the KC might be interested to know about it.

I think the "transfer declaration" could be the process we had to go through to get Mugi's registration transferred to Sue.
In his case where we couldn't get a signature from the previous owner, Bill and I as his breeders had to sign a form saying that we were unable to get the usual form signed before we could get him transferred back into our ownership.
