New Field Trial Judge

I am delighted with the news that Chris (Britmania) has been accepted as a probationary field trial judge...this is fantastic.    Congratulations, Chris.   To think we will have a breed specialist girl judge....wuuuuuuuhuuuuuu!!!!!!   So how long will it take you to be able to judge the P & S trials...???!!

Well done Chris, brilliant news.

congratulations.

Thank You all.
Being a probationary judge means I can judge all trials other than championship trials - in other words, I can't yet award CC's.
I have a card that I keep a record of all juding and stewarding appointments from now on, and when I think I am ready (!?!), I  apply to the NZGTA to sit written exams  and answer oral questions for approved status (where you can award CC's).
I have already indicated to NZGTA that I wish to advance to Approved Pointer & Setter judge status, at some time in the future - but it will be a while yet as I want to get more judging experience in general before going for "the big one"!
At all trials I can judge the Puppy, Novice and Limit trials (includes championship trials) and at club days, the Open class as well.
Collectively, they are known as the Minor Retrieving trials.
I have been doing judging at club day's for a while now and really enjoyed it - so decided to make it official and hopefully learn a whole lot more about all aspects of gundog trials.

Barry is at the other end of the judging tree and as a "Star" judge, is able to judge the New Zealand and Island Championship trials in most classes available.

It now means we have three Brittany owners judging.
Barry on the Star Judges Panel, Bill Johnsen is on the Approved Judges Panel and Moi on the Probationary Judges Panel.

Well done, Chris - you will be in the next Our Dogs Breed notes - www.ourdogs.co.uk
Britmania

Annie, I cant get the link to work - the messages I keep getting are:

a) you are not connected to the internet (HELLO, how cum I can send this then?)
b) website is encountering problems (is it out of date already??)
c) typing error in the address (it worked fine a few weeks ago)!

Maybe its because my computer is upside down compared to yours ?HeHe

Anyway, when I did get through I couldn't find the breed notes - can you direct me please?

Thought I had better enter an appropriate motto - see below!!

Cheers Chris

I think you have to subscribe to Our Dogs to get the breed notes so I've attached a few for those who don't get the paper.  The Dog World ones are open access though so you can all see what Paul writes.  $th November is the week I wrote about you Chris.

I get both papers as Jessie had to receive both for her job. So I can " nick" them!
Funnily, I now prefer reading " Our Dogs" as the writers have " more bite". and I  miss Anne Roslin Williams's column. Crying or Very sad
I really like reading R Killick, he has a way with words! Good notes Anne too...

Thanks, Patricia  They are hard work though - NOBODY tells me anything - I have to look for stuff to write! Please Please let me know of anything about Brittanys - stories, escapades, wins, good days, bad days ANYTHING!!!!
