New home needed !

Hi guys i havent been on for some time as i have been so busy .
I need to find bailey a new home as john has a new job and it means his away in london alot .
I cant give him the time that he needs anymore as my second baby is due the end of feb me and john are so upset knowing that we have to find him a new home .
He needs someone who can give him the time that he needs with his exercise , he would be a great working or a show dog and he just needs lots of love .
he is on epupz at the moment as i didnt want to post on here as i think you all might think bad of me but he could do with going to someone who knows the breed well .
thanks

Does he need a forever new home or one just for a while so you can catch up?

We'll help if we can - if you get someone from Epupz make sure thay aren't just after him for breeding - it happens.  I'm so glad now that you didn't take another dog.  Email Margaret Green with his details(fosscott@aol.com) and phone her in the morning - 01938 811717
We don't think bad of you!  We would do if you had just dumped him on the street like some people do!  So please don't fret, we'll find a good home.  Check with us first before letting him go to anyone from Epupz - we know some of the baddies.

Hope you can find him his forever home soon.

Ali you're just doing what you think is best for your family and for Bailey.  No one can think badly of you for that.

I hope you find a really good home for Bailey and best wishes for when the baby arrives

Ali, did you speak to Margaret?
CharlieandKatiesDad

You are a bit out of our catchment area, but if you PM me a photo we can see what we can do.  There was someone interested in the last one we fostered and re-homed who may be a possibility.

Anyone interested in re-homing a Britt and coming here first, please make sure that you visit the club website as well: http://www.brittanyclub.co.uk/bri...ub%20news/brittany%20rehoming.htm

Glad to hear that Ali, but make sure they get all the information about the breed and its needs.  Keep in touch with us anyway - we'll want to hear about the new baby, and how John gets on in his new job.

are they very interested ?
as i didnt speak to them john did ?
Ghilliegumdrop

Well they started off asking me if I had any pups as they wanted a bitch...when I saw this I rang and told them about Bailey and I also spoke to Mr Brighouse [Don't know his first name but she is Fiona] and he sounde keen. Just depends on how Bailey behaves himself when they see him...take him for a long walk and tire him out, and don't be to keen to sticvk to £300 as a good home is more important. Good luck.

Well, although it doesn't give him a home at least she was honest enough and thought it through. Hope all goes well when the nest people see him.
Ghilliegumdrop

Well if they don't want him I have someone that I know looking for a dog to go round the farm with him [he owns it] But he did want a rescue not to buy one...yes I know he would have to give something but he wasn't looking to pay £300 Very Happy

ok thanks

I am still waiting to hear back from the possibility that we had in mind, but would have to agree with Jan that if you want the best home it doesn't necessarily, in fact rarely comes with the best money.  We have recently re-homed a young bitch that we fosterer over Christmas to the most fantastic home you could imagine and both the previous owners and new ones gave sizeable donations to rescue.  We are all dedicated to the welfare of the breed and if the situation becomes unmanageable I suggest that you contact Margaret Green and let Bailey come within the club rescue, rather than re-homing, remit whereby he will be assured a successful re-home with a guarantee to come back to the club if there are any problems.

Good luck with the weekend visits.

Ali, how did it go today?

I'm very happy for you and Bailey - tell us about his new family, and please tell them about us - we would love to have them on here too.

That's good news.   As a re-homer I know it can work.  You have made  a very tough decision but it will be the best one for you and him.  Be strong.
alibindahouse73

thanks they just want him as a pet they do alot of walking over great windsor lakes and walking in general , they want him castrated which we have booked him in for friday .
they dont know nothink about dog showing but obviousley they wouldnt be able to with him being castrated .

I have emailed Fiona and Chris, hopefully they will make it to the club show so we can all meet them.
