Rick's a good writer - has everyone read his book on the Brittany - I know he's American but this is a book on the breed in the UK, and researched here - ISBN L-903098-74-2

He is a good "type" judge.
He writes many "dog" books....but what I find disheartening and I told this to him was that he should not have his publishers turn his book into 2 versions....ie a UK version with the KC standard and the exact same book for the USA with the AKC standard. They should have just included the 5 standards around the world written on the Brittanby breed for a true grasp on what the breed is about.
Also told him that the names and descriptions of the "Old" dogs were also wrong and showed him the old "French" books with correct dog names and descriptions. He was surprised that there was "all this Info" out in the public realm. Of course he did not go to France like Maxwell Riddle did but unfortunately died before his second edition could be done. So his wife Laura wrote the second edition and so much new information was sadly left out.
