RantWhy oh why do forum moderators not think???????
Not here I hasten to add but on the Springer Forum I frequent a person was offering their young dog at stud. Now as a basis this forum primarily supports rescue dogs.......
So I do the first reply mentioning I have all males so am not interested.
I ask if the dog is working or show line, what it has achieved, is it health tested (and I add in my reason why as both my ESS and WSS have hereditary eye problems) and just toss in the question that with so many rescue spaniels the dog has to have something really special to offer to make it attractive as a stud.
I have one reply from someone supporting my view then a response from the dog owner asking for more info on health tests (they said they had no idea if their dog was show or working) and just as I was about to post more about health schemes I find the thread has been deleted by admin.
Now I know the people involved may well not have taken on board any advice and gone ahead anyway but surely it is better to give them the info than just delete the post out of hand?? How will they learn if they just think a forum is too snooty to bother??????
Off soapbox now  . At least we all enjoy a good debate here.
