Remi's got a red one

His first first that is. None of the other entries in the class (AV Gundog junior) made a showing but I like to think he scared off the opposition  Laughing  Wink

What I was really pleased with was the second place from 6 entries in AV Gundog puppy having been told by someone that the others in the class were of a good standard. Nice to be placed above dogs of other breeds.

East Midlands Canine Society Open show.

Amanda and James flew the flag bigger and higher than we did. Just missed getting the group but got best puppy in group.

Ta Very Happy

Actually, Guy's account of his weekend reminds me that both our dogs managed to put a smile on my face this weekend.
Tegen had her first daylight agility class for some time on Saturday, and it was her best for a long time if not ever. She started off a bit dubiously but soon settled in and even done a few half decent weaves (not her strong point) as we practised groups of 3, 4 or 5 obstacles (or whatever you like to call them). Come the end of the session, we put everything together for a 13 obstacle circuit during which she did a perfect and (according to the others there) fast weave. She knows exactly what to do with each piece of apparatus. The weakest link in the chain is my ability to give her clear instruction as to what to do next. Which I suppose is, to a great extent, what agility is about really. Having said that, her obedience improves during agility classes, to the degree that she is, on occasions, one of the better behaved dogs. If only we had a paved area large enough for me to set up a few bits of equipment. The grass isn't really usable for agility training at the moment. Sad

Does this mean James was Group 2?

Can I have Judges for these two shows please, Breed and Group - for Breed notes.

While I'm on the  subject can you all keep the  news coming please.
Thanks
Annie

Yes. I was with Amanda when the Judge told her that he very nearly gave James the group.

He also got Res' BPIS

Excellent stuff.  Have written it into my breed notes.  Remember to buy Our Dogs Friday after next to see it.
