RSPCA and TV Animal rescue

Has anyone seen the 7.30 pm  " Animal rescue" by the RSPCA yesterday? Not been a great fan for quite sometimes but talk of cruelty... Crying or Very sad
Thre was a " pit bull type" in London abandoned with her several puppies of all colours. The bitch was very very thin, the puppies in just a plastic bed. all this in a flat.
Friendly bitch, 5 weeks old pups, went away easily, showed no agression  on TV and yet...because of her supposedly breed( I thought not obvious) she was PTS with all her pups...
Now if that is not disgusting. That poor dog never had a chance.
That program is so ignorant, I will make a point of not watching it. Evil or Very Mad

They were bound by law.  If it is a pit bull or pit bull type it has to be PTS.  The should be for the owner who was breeding the pups so they could lead a life of pain and aggression.

My interpretation of the law is such that ........ a person breeding a dog proscribed under the DDA may be prosecuted.

A dog 'breed' seen as a prospective pit bull I felt needed to prove it was a PB and as such pups should not be put down per se but must be kept muzzled and under close control at all times in public.

So my interpretation ......... which I own may well be misguided .............. is that it would be hard for the RSPCA to find special homes for these pups, so they take the easy option!

I have a dog that can very easily contravene the DDA - a deerhound charging towards you in all senses of the law as it is written can intimidate. I ensure my human orientated dog will not make a human anxious, sometimes to the detriment of his fun. I know he is not human aggressive - others don't and in his love of people he could cause injury!
