Got Dog World today.

Now as those of you who were at the Club Open Show in June know well I was amazed when Chase did soooo well. Ok, I know he is a great dog but getting it right at the right time is a challenge. I love Chase to bits although he is hard work and I was thrilled with his critique.

But what has put the silly grin on my face is Mugi's write up - a totally different dog in all aspects but a dog that has so completely found a place in my heart. From Liz and Bills perspective it (to me) seems bittersweet that he is doing so well (age etc considered) late in life when he could have done so well as a younger dog but for me he is just a fab companion who is teaching me loads.

I will never ever regret having him even if we are not together long enough and reading critiques like he got in June just make me sooooo proud of him.

And I have to add...the quality of the critique! Smile

So good to read the bits the judge likes and the bits they don't like...and why in dissecting the conformation.
That shows true understanding of a dog, unlike some I read which want to make me ..cry... Crying or Very sad

A good critique will make you imagine you have the dog in front of you...Every judge has its likes and dislikes as within a breed, you have " types". But that is why the standard is there, and further more, the FCi if people want a far more detailed picture of what qualities the dog should possess and what are the worst defects in order of seriousness.
Whatever the thoughts it makes interesting reading...
