I swore the boys weren't having a pressie this year bar some edible treats. In the end Mugi will be having a new Kong (specially for seniors) and Mugi and Chase combined have a real treat!!
When we show you will have seen I crate my lads, partly as I feel happier, partly cos I was witness to a biting incident at Crufts a few years back that was so not the dogs fault but who got the blame? I do find it hard though - one or two dogs to get in and their crates and I rarely have a helper as I prefer to ensure the boys at home have care.
I did have a 'flatbed' trolley but it wasn't really easy as Mugi and Chase still had to walk in with me. I sometimes set up my bench then go back for the dogs but at some shows that means a very early start and lots of walking. I also dislike (and have problems finding a minder) showing both lads at Open Shows even though I usually show Mugi in AV Veteran as opposed to breed classes - it can still be a juggle.
So I have been toying with a 'proper' show trolley but baulked at the price of the ones that looked as though they would do all that I wanted. Chance look at ebay the other night and shall we just say that the boys will soon be arriving in style .
The have one of these http://dogshowtrolleys.com/2b.html with some extras including locking doors. It looks brand new and is less than 6 months old, spookily bought from a lady who goes to the same ringcraft as Barbara . Ok, still not cheap but a significant saving on the retail price and fab.
I have also promised to show my friends WSS at some Open Shows in 2009 so at least I know my lads will be safe at the ringside while I concentrate on Mr B.

Sue, a trolley would be so so good to have....instead of taking cage, setting up cage, going back for dog, getting dog in, leaving dog, go back to vehicle get paraphenalia, go back, then remember thermos still in vehicle...arrrrggggghhhh!!!
Worse still with two dogs...take one dog, leave one in vehicle, then go back...and so on...by the time the breed comes up you are exhausted!!!!!

Wow that looks like a bit of serious kit. Merry christmas.

If you can train Chase to pull it then it could save Mugi a lot of walking at the shoot as well

You mean it hasn't got its own motor ? That looks a hefty bit of kit. I've only done the two dogs at a show thing once and there were three of us. I don't know how people cope with going back and forth all the time. Hope this makes showing a slight more enjoyable (less stressful?) experience
