Stud book NumbersSince the Kennel CLub have recently announced the 2008 Stud Book bands, I thought some clarification might be of interest:

Please note that a Stud Book Number qualifies a dog for Crufts. For a copy of the full Crufts qualifications, please telephone 0870 606 6750.
BAND A - 1ST OPEN CLASS
HOUND GROUP: Basenji, Basset Fauve De Bretagne, Basset Griffon Vendeen (Grand), Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) (from Band B), Bloodhound, Finnish Spitz, Greyhound, Ibizan Hound, Otterhound, Pharaoh Hound.
GUNDOG GROUP: Brittany, German Wirehaired Pointer, Retriever (Chesapeake Bay) (CC’s for the 1st time 2008) Spaniel (Irish Water), Spaniel (Sussex).

That is: Dog CC, Dog RCC, 1st Open Dog(even if it isn't CC or RCC); Bitch CC, Bitch RCC, 1st Open Bitch(even if it isn't CC or RCC)
So in theory, if not in practice, we can have 6 Stud book numbers per Championship Show.
